On September 11th, 2001, two planes hit the world trade center. On my way to interview someone for the Jerusalem Post, I had my camera with me that morning to photograph the person I was interviewing. Upon hearing that one of the towers collapsed, I decided to run downtown to see if I could help (I have medical training from the Israeli army). When the second tower collapsed there was no one left to help. I was surrounded by thick black smoke and I used my flash to help me see where I was going. I heard explosions overhead that rained down debris. Here are some of my shots from that day.
